4WD Trail

The road finally ends at an atmospheric observatory most of the way up Mauna Loa. Then it becomes a very rough 4 wheel drive track. We tried taking the jeep up it a ways, but it was very uncomfortable, we were making terrible time, and Berck was afraid it was only going to get rougher and we'd get stuck. So we decided to hike the rest of the way up.
