Well, apparently, they’ve closed I-25 between Colorado City and Walsenburg. We decided to spring for a hotel room in Raton. Hopefully, the weather and traffic will clear up tomorrow. Good thing we left an extra day to get home.
Southern Tour — Trip Home Leg 1 Having made it all the way to Orlando, it’s time to turn around and head home. We’ve been gone for nearly a month, and both Berck and I are about vacationed out and ready to return to routine. That may take a bit longer for Berck than for me. Colorado has been dumped on with snow most of the time we’ve been gone, and there’s a good chance it’s going to snow again on Friday. The forecast for Saturday is clear, though, so we’re hoping the snow plows will have reached our street…
Southern Tour – Anniversary Today is our wedding anniversary. Three years ago we got married on an Alabama beach. Today we left Alabama for Orlando. We didn’t have any problems after that. We had a wonderful dinner of delicious chicken.
Amazingly, the car went back together without too many left over parts yesterday afternoon. It appears to be working just fine, which is something of a welcome relief. Unfortunately, I’m not totally convinced that I didn’t screw something up that will show up a couple hundred miles down the road, but there’s not much I can do about that. Joanna’s been busy washing and waxing it even. The current plan is to leave Monday morning for Knoxville, spend a couple days there, then head on to Mobile in time for Jesus Day. After that, we’ll progress in a southerly direction…
