So Berck, his dad, and I are going to Israel on Monday. We should get back a week later.

We just went to Borders to get a book and Streetwise and to the pet store to get a vacation fish feeding block. Berck is reading the guidebook to me.

I still have a job!

Here’s the press release. Mesa won a preliminary injunction yesterday preventing Delta from terminating the contract. While they haven’t won the case, this at least means that the judge thinks that there’s some evidence in their favor. This should mean that my job is safe long enough for me to actually get to start flying.

I meant to post this yesterday, but got distracted because Imzadi came to visit.

I wasn’t there when he was born, but…

I had to post this photo someone else took anyway.

Abby only has her babies on holidays. Lil’ Bub was born on Memorial Day, and Sweetie on Valentine’s.

I’ve been anxiously checking google news and company email for information regarding the Delta lawsuit. Why?

Mesa Air Group said it will file for bankruptcy protection by July 20 and cut 700 jobs if Atlanta-based Delta’s termination of a regional flying contract sticks and Mesa can’t redeploy unused aircraft.

So as you can guess, I’m pretty anxious to find out what’s going to happen with the Delta contract. The complaint as well as the rest of the court documents are sealed, so I can’t even begin random speculation as to whether or not Mesa actually has a case. I really don’t want to have to start playing the resumé game again any time soon.

This article asks the question, “Which airline is going to declare bankruptcy next?” The answer is not left as an exercise for the reader.
