So we’re trying to decide what to do for Berck’s vacation (Dec 26-Jan 3). Berck has almost convinced BeManda to come out and visit us if we can figure out something fun to do. Berck thought we could rent a cabin up somewhere up in the Rocky Mountains if we could find one for $300 a week or less. So far we haven’t had any success. Anyone know anyone with a vacation house out here we can borrow?
Berck got a call while we were driving him to the airport on Thursday from a United flight attendant who is renting beds in a crashpad in Chicago. This was good news, but that meant that the next day he had to go buy sheets, mattress pad, pillow, and towel from the K-mart nearby. His next day off isn’t until the next Friday, so I decided to go see him for the weekend. He got assigned a trip starting Sunday morning, but that was okay because the only flight I could get back home on Sunday was the 6am flight…
We came out of the Art Institute of Chicago today to find a hundred Santas charging us. Then they stood on the steps of the museum and sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
