I’m here, at the Radisson Hotel. At 10:30am, with not a lot to do for the rest of the day. Todd’s in town, so I’ll be calling him in a little bit.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, there’s free internet. There’s also only one little desk, which could prove problematic between my roommate and me. Who isn’t here yet, and the front desk couldn’t even give me a name.<\/p>\n
I’m still pretty nervous about the whole thing– there’s a lot at stake here.<\/p>\n
The flight down here was uneventful. They made me a little worried about whether or not I would be able to get on the flight, but I think I was at a higher priority than other standby passengers, but I’m not sure how their system works. It was a CRJ-900, which is the first I’d seen. I actually thought it was a 700 at first, then realized it seemed a little bigger. Otherwise, no real difference from the passenger’s perspective, and I’m sure I’ll find out more from the pilot’s perspective all too soon.<\/p>\n
There are no obvious restaurants in walking distance and the hotel restaurant looks pricey. $15 dinners could add up after awhile. There may be something in walking distance I’ll discover after doing some investigating.<\/p>\n
I asked the front desk how many of us there were, and she said she wasn’t sure, but there were, “A lot… I want to say at least 30 or so.” Which, assuming there’s some people not staying at the hotel would make for a rather large class, I’d think.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
