We’ve found a place to live!
It’s an apartment in the foothills just south of the Academy. It’s two bedrooms and one and a half baths (room for visitors!). It’s older, but there’s a new range in the kitchen. And there’s a fireplace (which actually comes in handy in Colorado). There’s a balcony with a view of the mountains. And it’s next to a nice, big park…perfect for kite flying!
It was the first apartment we looked at today. It all looked so perfect (for us poor folk, anyway). “And how much is this one?” I asked Berck.
“It’s $550 a month.” (Our best bet so far had been $550 for a ONE bedroom.)
“Actually,” said the landlord, who owns the two buildings in the “complex,” totalling eight units, “It WAS $550. Now it’s $500.”
Now I’ve just got to find a job.
