My boss, Duncan Bremer, is running for Congress.

Joel Hefley, the U.S. Representative from this district, has been in office a long time–since when my family used to live here in Colorado Springs–and he isn’t seeking reelection. He just announced this on Thursday.

This district is predominately Republican, so the focus will be the primary, not the general election. And to get on the primary ballot, you’ve got to get enough delegates from the precinct caucuses held on March 21. Things are moving pretty fast.

I spent the weekend terribly excited. Today I was hit with an overwhelming amount of stuff to do, with Michele constantly wanting to talk to me about clothes (we spent most of Friday trying on blazers), Duncan emphasizing the need for databasing, and all the bill paying and scanning and filing that I do already.

I get tired just thinking about it all again.

Yep…. I get tired hearing about it! I guess a trip to see your nephew will have to wait until after March 21! But how exciting!
