During years with Republican presidents, wealthy people experience more income gains than the less wealthy, and the opposite is true with a Democratic president (the less wealthy experience more income gains than the wealthy). That’s pretty much what you’d expect. The more interesting thing? In years with Democratic presidents, all income groups (even the wealthiest) experience more income gains than with a Republican president.

So there you have it: If you want to be wealthier, vote for a Democratic president.

I wonder if there’s any similar statistical correlation in congress?
