Well, they’re trained to paint specific things, like this. An elephant can do this again and again, but there’s no good evidence that they see it as a likeness of an elephant, and they certainly didn’t come up with the image on heir own. As far as I can tell, if you give them paintbrushes but don’t teach them to make specific paintings, they make very abstract paintings.
