ODB going offline…

Sometime before Wednesday, I’m unplugging the computers and packing them up. This means the blog will be riding in a Budget truck to Colorado where it will sit lonely and internetless and won’t be accessable for awhile. I’ve already ordered internet for the new apartment, but they haven’t scheduled an installation date, so who knows how long it will take. Keep in mind that if you’ve been emailing us @nachzen.net addresses, these addresses will probably result in undeliverable/bounced mail until we get internet again. If you’d like to send us email that we’ll be sure to get eventually, use gmail addresses.

Captcha Plugin

Okay, I’m sick hand-weeding out the comment spam on the blog, so now there’s a captcha plugin. For those of you that hate them (I thought this was everybody, but Nathan and Jonah think they’re fun), you don’t have to do it if you create an account and login. And, if you create an account, login and accept the cookie, you should stay logged in as long as you hang on to the cookie.

We’re here

This post would have worked better if I knew how to use lynx.

The post I tried to post is in the “excerpt” field, and I’m not sure how to fix it. And now I’m tired. But we’re here and we’ll be looking for a place to live in the morning.

[Fixed, 05 Feb 08, a bit late, below.]

We’ve made it colorado springs. Apartment hunting in the morning, followed by some job hunting for Jonah. (As a side note, I’m posting this using lynx, which still has its uses.) We made the drive in 10 hours this time. Going through Kansas is good, avoiding both Dodge City and Garden City makes it even better. And note: Jonah’s 15 year old sense of a quick way to drive through Colorado springs is a bit dated. We’re excited… more later.
