7 Random Things
1. Olives are the only food I don’t like, but I’ve tried to teach myself to (so far in vain).
2. I don’t like soap.
3. For the first couple years after I learned to drive, I religiously kept to the speed limit. I always had a line of angry motorists behind me.
4. I have a black thumb.
5. The only exception to #4 is when I successfully planted a rye grass smiley face in my college’s quad my senior year. There was a great view of it from the top of the science building after winter break.
6. I tried to turn the water in the college fountain purple on my last day of school by putting several bottles of food coloring in it. But I don’t know if I succeeded, because I left in a hurry before it could all mix.
7. I can code HTML (badly).

It looks like Obama wants compulsory community service of 50 hours for middle school students and 100 hours for high school students as well. I love this idea, and I hope it goes somewhere. He also plans to expand Peace Corps and Americorps programs as well, which is good news for Ben and Amanda.
